Pre-booking Starlink is quite simple. You can do so by heading towards Starlink’s official website. The user would have to pay a deposit of approximately INR 7,300 for the Starlink kit. The kit includes a Wi-Fi router, power supply, cables, and mounting tripod. The company claimed on its website that during the beta version users can expect a data speed varying from 50Mb/s to 150Mb/s.

The company has planned to launch 12,000 Starlink Satellites and has already placed over 1,000 of them space. However, Starlink is not the only company that is heading towards satellite-based internet. Hughes India, a subsidiary of Hughes Network System, recently planned to provide internet services to more than 5,000 villages in India. The company has tied up with the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and will make use of their communication satellites, GSAT-19 & GSAT-11.
