Realme 5: world’s first quad-camera phone under 10,000 price segment
On 15th August 2019, Madhav Sheth, CEO Realme India suggested the price of the Realme 5 through a tweet. Microsite revealed both Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro will have sport quad rear cameras with a dedicated battery capacity of the Realme 5. Detailed design and hardware of the Realme 5 series have been released on the same.
Madhav Sheth, CEO Realme India tweeted about the price of Realme 5; confirming the price will be under 10,000 rupees very similar to the Realme 3 launch price starting at just Rs 8,999. The tweet also highlights Realme 5 Pro’s 48-megapixel quad camera. In addition, for the first time in India, the company is all set to launch a powerful Qualcomm chipset which could be particularly pointed towards Realme 5 that is expected to come with the Snapdragon 665 SoC.
Similar design to Realme 3i
Similar to the Realme 3i both the phones appear to have a diamond-cut finish. Realme 5 seems to have a traditional fingerprint sensor at the back while the Realme 5 Pro would have an in-display fingerprint sensor.
As per the information available on these microsites, it confirms a 5,000mAh battery. In addition, to support multitasking and heavy use, the phone will come with Qualcomm SoC which is the best in the segment.
Realme 5’s world-class features
As showcased on the microsite by Flipkart, both the phones will debut with quad rear cameras, though the Realme 5 Pro will sport a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 primary sensor. Realme will offer the Realme 5 Pro with a 119-degree wide-angle lens; 4cm focus Super Macro Lens, and a Portrait lens. In addition, the phone will come with VOOC Flash charge 3.0 technology that helps to charge 55 percent of the battery in just 30 minutes.
Realme smartphone is marketed to be the world’s first quad-camera phone under 10,000 price segment. To make clicking pictures more interesting and intense the phone sporting a primary sensor of 1.25-micron pixel size along with an f/1.8 lens. Adding more to that the camera setup will also have a 119-degree wide-angle lens, a portrait lens, and a super macro lens.
