World’s 1st Language Learning AI-Based Product
Liqvid is launching world’s 1st Language learning AI-based product called Vocabulary Builder, which will help the learners who are training for competitive English language exams like IELTS, TOFEL, GRE etc. to learn in a better way. The solution is based on the research done by Hermann Ebbinghaus in the late 19th and early 20th century. Breaking from the philosophical paradigms, he demonstrated how the law of frequency functioned instead of hypothesizing about it. He created psychology’s first learning curve and retention curve through extensive experiments on ‘nonsense materials’. One of his key finding was that the rate of forgetting is very fast initially following a learning experience and very slow thereafter. This curve is also impacted by factors like ‘meaningfulness’, etc.
- Uses AI/Machine Learning to significantly enhance leaning efficiency for each individual user
- Using the basics of “reinforcement” learning, the words are presented to the learner using a linear programming based recommendation engine which ensures words presented to the user for review and practice are as close to their half-lives as possible – not too early, not too late
- Continuous Improvement & personalization: The Machine Learning approach will also allow the recommendation engine to leverage multiple feature vectors which can contribute to half-life – like people from north may find certain set of words more difficult than the people from south and vice versa
