Dubai, United Arab Emirates — The LFC x LBJ Chapter 2 apparel collection has dropped at the Liverpool store in the UAE. This collection is the result of the continuing collaboration between the top-ranking Premier League team (Liverpool Football Club) and the National Basketball Association’s (NBA’s) all-time highest playoff scorer (LeBron James). Liverpool FC fans can now shop online for the LFC x LBJ Chapter 2 collection.
The Partnership Between Liverpool FC and LeBron James
Liverpool FC and James started working together on a Nike-exclusive LFC x LBJ collection in 2023. The partnership has been widely celebrated because of the football club and the star NBA player’s celebrity status. It also makes sense because of the relationship between the two.
James has always been among the most acclaimed and renowned figures in U.S. professional basketball. He’s known for his remarkable scoring abilities and outstanding plays. In fact, James had just become the all-time highest scorer in NBA history when he first joined forces with Liverpool FC. This year, just before LFC x LBJ Chapter 2 launched, James had just attained 40,000 career points.
James is famous not only for his athletic abilities but also for his astute eye for business. Among his many ventures is a minority stake in Liverpool FC.
He acquired his Liverpool FC shares when he agreed to work with Fenway Sports Group (FSG) LLC in 2011. FSG LLC is the sole owner of Liverpool FC, and a Liverpool FC minority stake was one of James’s conditions when he agreed to come on board with FSG, essentially making the latter his chief marketing agency.
An exclusive LFC x LBJ collection was a natural and practical outcome given James’s stature, his ownership interest in Liverpool FC, Liverpool FC’s prominence in football, and Liverpool’s global brand appeal and reach. Now in its second year, the collection continues to delight football and basketball fans worldwide.
LFC x LBJ Chapter 2 Merch
The Liverpool FC Lebron collection features a line of basketball and football apparel, including trainers. Its primary colours are fresh black, blue, and gold, reminiscent of the Liverpool FC Nike teal and black away kit for the 2020/21 season.
The following are the highlights of the LFC x LBJ Chapter 2 collection:
1. LFC x Lebron Nike Men’s DNA Basketball Jersey
The machine-washable, 100% polyester LFC x Lebron Nike men’s DNA basketball jersey, constructed from lightweight and breathable fabric, features Nike’s advanced Dri-FIT technology that efficiently wicks sweat away from the skin so moisture can evaporate quicker, and offers a relaxed fit. All these make this basketball jersey ideal for making superb plays on and off the basketball court.
In keeping with the rest of the LFC x LBJ Chapter 2 collection, this hoop jersey is blue, with gold and black piping in the ribbed neckline and armholes. The Liverpool FC’s liver bird badge and LeBron James logo, both in gold, are on the chest. Emblazoned midriff, in gold silicone print, is the acronym YNWA, which stands for Liverpool FC’s anthem, ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’.
At the bottom left on the front is a black woven tag showing the LeBron James logo in gold, the Liverpool FC liver bird badge in black on a gold background, and black text on gold that says the jersey has been engineered to the exact specifications of Liverpool FC and LeBron James. Under that woven tag is James’s motto, ‘Strive for Greatness’, while above lies the quintessential Nike Swoosh.
The jersey fabric has a subtle checkerboard pattern. YWNA, Strive for Greatness and the Liverpool FC badge are printed on it and woven throughout.
2. LFC x LeBron Nike Men’s Football Stadium Jersey
The machine-washable, 100% polyester short-sleeve LFC x LeBron Nike men’s football stadium knit jersey is lightweight and breathable, and features Nike’s sweat-wicking Dri-FIT technology. It’s cool and comfortable, perfect for watching your favourite Liverpool players on the pitch.
The black jersey has a checkerboard, LFC badge, YNWA, and Strive for Greatness print on the front and back. The sleeves and the collar have a blue trim. Like the basketball jersey, it has the Liverpool FC badge on the left side of the chest, the LeBron James logo on the right, and YNWA below, across the chest, in big, bold letters. All of these are finished in gold. The jersey also has a woven tag identical to the one on the basketball shirt, with the Nike Swoosh above.
3. LFC x Lebron Nike Adults NXXT Gen Amplified Trainers
The NXXT Gen Amplified Trainers is the only footwear included in the collection. It’s predominantly white with the following design features:
- Blue soles with a multidirectional track pattern that is a map of Akron, where LeBron was born
- The Nike Swoosh in black and blue on the outward-facing sides, with the blue Swoosh overlapping with and on top of the black Swoosh, which is outlined by blue stitching
- The Nike Swoosh in black with gold trim on the inward-facing sides
- The Liverpool FC liver bird badge in gold on the tongue
- A blue insole printed with a checkerboard pattern, YNWA, Strive for Greatness, and the Liverpool FC badge (like the one on the basketball jersey)
- Golden lace aglets for secure lacing
The shoes have a large forefoot Air Zoom unit, which can bend in multiple directions, enabling responsive and flexible movement on and off the court. The Air Zoom unit in the heel cushions the foot from impact as you jump to shoot, rebound, block, and make passes throughout the game.

Aside from the basketball jersey, football jersey and basketball trainers, LFC x LBJ Chapter 2 also includes various Nike merchandise, such as shorts, tees, jackets and more.
