As part of the collaboration, Kubota would export Escorts tractors through Kubota global distribution network in specific markets.
Escorts Ltd, an Indian engineering conglomerate and Kubota Corporation, Japan’s biggest and world’s leading tractor manufacturer, have recently announced their global joint venture to manufacture high-end technology tractors for domestic and export geographies. The JV will leverage leading Japanese technology from Kubota and Indian engineering excellence of Escorts to cater to an expanding market for higher efficiency, value-oriented utility tractors for a global leadership position.
Kubota equipment is known for its durability, innovative features, and versatility, making it exceptionally useful for a wide range of agricultural and construction applications, thereby enhancing productivity and operational efficiency.
With an initial investment of 300 crores, the 60:40 manufacturing joint venture between Kubota and Escorts respectively would enable both partners to optimize their current and future capabilities in the segment globally. The JV will aim to take a leading position in domestic and export markets in medium to long term.

The JV agreement was signed by Nikhil Nanda, the Chairman and Managing Director of Escorts Limited and Masatoshi Kimata, who is President and Representative Director at Kubota Corporation, Japan.
