The deal will enable real-time virtual tourism
The top mobile service provider in Malaysia, Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd has joined hands with Malaysia Airports and Panorama Langkawi. The new agreement will enable real-time virtual tourism experience, empowered by Digi 5 technology for the tourists. The demonstration of the new technology was arranged at Langkawi International Airport.
The tourists can have fun watching a 360-degree view of Gunung Machinchang, one of the most popular mountains and tourist spots in the country, with the use of a cable gondola in the virtual reality experimental zone. A newly installed cutting edge camera at Langkawi Skylab middle station made it possible to be live-streamed. This showcase by Digi 5G was a part of 5G demonstration projects that succeeded due to tremendous efforts of the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission.
