China smartphone brand, Honor has revealed that it is going to launch Honor Vision Smart TV in the first quarter of 2020 at the Indian Mobile Congress (IMC), Delhi. The company has not revealed any exact launch date or price for this Smart TV. Honor Vision Smart TV was first launched in China in August this year as the first product to be powered by HarmonyOS.
This Smart TV is priced at 3,799 yuan (approx. Rs 38,200) in China. The price of the new smart TV in India will be similar to China’s pricing. The more premium Honor Vision Pro comes with a pop-up camera, and cost RMB 4,799 (approximately Rs 48,200) in the country.

HarmonyOS is open-source; microkernel-based distributed operating system being developed by Huawei. The platform is designed primarily for internet of things devices and is completely different from Android and IOS. It allows Honor’s Smart TV to access all most popular video streaming services and does basic internet and television things. The company was looking to offer specific features that make the Honor Vision Smart TV a more ambitious product than just a smart TV. This includes open-source OS, pop up camera, instant connectivity with Honor devices, become an IoT smart home hub, voice assistance, any smartphone acts as a remote control as it works best with this OS.
Smart TV with extensive features
The Smart TV features a 55-inch 4K HDR display and is built around a quad-core Honghu 818 processor. It comes with a three-sided bezel-less full-view design and up to 94 percent of screen-to-body ratio. The Smart TV also sports a 6.9mm full metal frame and a diamond-patterned rear, supporting an intelligent breathing light. There is also a TUV Rhineland Eye Comfort mode. Furthermore, Honor Vision Smart TV comes with self-developed intelligent chipsets. This TV is bundled with a remote and can be used with a smartphone as well. The remote has a power button, a smart key, and volume control keys. It has four 10W speakers and also it offers a pop up camera setups.
